Welcome to My Heart's Celebration

Bio's are often a bit boring to even the most curious person so I'll try to make mine a bit spicy.
Marshall, a small town in the beautiful piney woods of East Texas, 20 minutes from Shreveport, Louisiana, is where I was born and raised.
I have one sister who prayed for a brother for 6 years. She's now forgiven me for being a little curly blonde-headed girl. Other than God, my husband and my sister are the stronghold in my life.
I went to college to receive my BA degree and afterwards married my first husband. The marriage wasn't meant to be, but it produced two glorious sons, Adam and Garry. My greatest accomplishment, motherhood.
After several life lessons, I listened to my sweet Lord and Saviour and He brought Monte into my life. I found my soulmate and another wonderful son, Joe Bryan. We've been married 13 years. Our three boys have blessed us with EIGHT outstanding grandkids. Family is the glue of our existence.
My happiness today is because of God's grace and guideance. Each season of my life opens and closes a new chapter of living. He allows new writing ideas to pop inside my head like fiery embers of a bonfire.
Okay, maybe my bio was a bit boring, only because I forgot to mention, I met my husband at the dragstrip. We BOTH race.
It's my OTHER passion when I'm not writing.

Yes, that's me....Super Chevy Winner in San Antonio, TX
Sure we all dream; mine are in color, are yours? But without the love and support, whether he understands my ideas or not, I couldn't begin to free my muse without my wonderful husband, Monte.
As a child, my imagination carried me down winding paths, to far away cities, up bountiful mountains covered by cotton candy clouds and rhinestone sparkled snowcaps. Or to the attics of gingerbread houses framed by white picket fences, and out to the emerald wave of lush pastures where horses ran free. Sometimes, the jungle became my backyard and tigers, monkeys, elephants and zebras enjoyed a cup of tea across the table from my raggedy teddy bear. Putting my thoughts on paper brings it all to life. My characters speak in whispers, tease and tantalize me as my muse watches, a mischievous smile on her face. It’s writing and writing gives me freedom and freedom implores my imagination deep in the core of my soul. So it goes, a kaleidoscope cycle I love and I intend to give back to the reader.
I'm a wife, I'm a mother, I'm a grandmother, I'm a sister, I'm an aunt, I'm a friend, I'm a dragracer, and I'm a writer.
As a Christain, I believe in Psalm 37:4 "Delight yourself in the Lord and He shall give you the desires of your heart."
Enough said.
